Day 1: Arusha-Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. The park’s seasonal rivers and wetlands attract animals from surrounding areas, particularly during the dry season.

Enjoy a game drive through the park, where you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and various bird species. With luck, you may also spot lions and other predators. After the game drive, continue to your campsite or lodge for the evening.

Day 2: Tarangire-Karatu

Enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire before leaving the park. The morning is an excellent time for wildlife viewing because many animals are active before the heat of the day increases.

After the game drive, continue toward Karatu, passing through rural landscapes and agricultural communities. The afternoon is free to relax at your accommodation or enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the area.

Day 3: Karatu-Ngorongoro Crater-Serengeti

After breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This natural caldera supports a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and possibly black rhinos.

After exploring the crater floor, ascend and continue toward Serengeti National Park. Enter the park in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive as you make your way toward your accommodation.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park-Full-Day Safari

Spend the entire day exploring the legendary Serengeti National Park. The park is renowned for its vast plains, exceptional wildlife populations, and the annual Great Migration.

Morning and afternoon game drives give you opportunities to search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeest. Your guide will select the best areas according to wildlife movements and seasonal conditions.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park-Full-Day Exploration

Continue your Serengeti adventure with another full day of game drives. The extra time allows you to explore different habitats and increase your chances of encountering wildlife away from the areas visited the previous day.

Depending on the season, you may witness large concentrations of wildebeest and zebras associated with the Great Migration. You may also encounter predators following the herds, creating some of the most exciting wildlife experiences in Tanzania.

Day 6: Serengeti-Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti before beginning your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The drive takes you through changing landscapes, from the open Serengeti plains toward the cooler highlands surrounding Ngorongoro. Along the way, you may encounter wildlife and enjoy several scenic viewpoints before arriving at your accommodation.

Day 7: Ngorongoro -Arusha-Departure

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have time for a short stop at a local market or cultural attraction along the way.

Continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. Your 7-Day Great Tanzania Safari ends with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s spectacular wildlife, landscapes, and wilderness.
